Every team sits on dark steel panels (insulators on top) under a moving storm: drifting clouds, rain, transmission towers, sheet lightning in the sky, and a slowly turning storm core in the header. Logos show from the start; open panels have a faint white edge.
When a team sells: the storm core charges in the team's color with arcs around it, branching lightning crawls across the board, then one heavy bolt strikes the sold team. Screen flash, shake, sparks; the panel powers on glowing in team colors, the logo lights up, and the buyer's name burns into the large plate letter by letter (orange embers, cooling to white). The storm fades back; the panel stays powered and crackles now and then. At sellout lightning chains through every panel, the sky flashes white, SOLD OUT crackles on.
The lightning is cosmetic: it always strikes the team that was bought, never hops like a wheel.
